What are the emission warranty on a Cummins engine?
During the 20th century, people have become increasingly aware of the negative effects the machines we use have on our planet. Luckily, modern marine emission laws and technological advances have greatly decreased the amount of pollution we create.
Cummins marine engine warranty guarantees that the engine has been designed, built, and equipped in accordance with any US federal emission regulations relevant at the time of manufacture. Furthermore, it warrants that the marine engine is free of any defects in workmanship, design, or material that could prevent it from complying with these regulations.
The marine engine has to meet these standards during these time periods:
- The base marine engine warranty.
- 100,000 miles (or five years, whichever comes first), starting with the date of delivery of the marine engine to the first owner.
